Proactive was initially formed by three network professionals with over two decades of experience and multiple certifications. History

In 2000, three Bay Area network professionals formed TJ Myers Consulting Group. They combined their twenty-five years of network experience to serve the technology needs of non-profit organizations and small businesses in Silicon Valley.

In 2002, we expanded our services to provide a complete range of network and professional services including complete network design and builds. Leveraging the abilities of Microsoft Small Business Server to bring the enterprise network to small business at a very affordable price.

In 2005, we expanded to provide a full range of services including contract helpdesk, service contracts, and hosting services. In late 2005 we began providing retail sales to our clients at significant discounts to typical vendors of small businesses.

In 2006 we incorporated in the State of California as Proactive IT Consulting Corporation. We believe this new name best represents our approach to solving technology problems. Our clients know us as a company which actively takes their particular environment into account and foresees potential problems before they occur, and work to resolve them before there is any interruption of network service. Additionally we relocated our office from Blue Hill Drive in San Jose to a new facility on Wyatt in Santa Clara with double the square footage. This new facility has enabled us to increase our in-house staff.

In 2007 due to our rapid growth, we doubled our staff and relocated our business office about 1000ft from 1500 Wyatt to 1800 with double the square footage.
